Today I chose to visit palaces with the free tickets I received from previous host. It was Gyeongbokgung Palace and National folk museum of Korea.

Travelling back time to Joseon Dynasty

Many visitors went there with Hanbok. These people added colours and lively feel to the palace. So beautiful~ I want to wear it to palaces for next visit.

Gyeongbokgung Palace
9am - 6pm
Close on Tuesday

Exit 5, Gyeongbokgung St
Exit 1, Anguk St

Entrance fees
For a nominal admission fee of between 1,500 to 3,000 won, you get access to the palace. With the option of an integrated ticket price of 10,000 won, you get access to Changdeokgung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, and Gyeongbokgung Palace, amongst a few other destinations.

Gyeongbokgung, the new main palace in 1395 was founded during the Joseon Dynasty by King Taejo (Yi Seong-gye). It was completed after the capital of the new dynasty was moved from Gaegyeong to Seoul.

The palace was destroyed by fire during the Japanese invasion of 1952 and was not constructed until 1867, the 5th year of King Gojong.

Most of the palaces were torn down during Japanese occupation, left standing only Gyeonghoeru Pavilion and Geunjeongjeon Hall. In order to fully restore to its former glory, an effort has been ongoing since 1990.

In 2010, restoration of Gwanghwamun Gate, the main entrance to the palace was completed.

I remembered I helped an ahjussi for taking his picture there kkk..
I made sure those pictures were his best picture taken haha.. I saw him selfca hence I offered my help. Actually I offered many people at Korea hehe.. I was so willing to help them sincerely because I want everyone to have good memorable pictures Lol.

Eventho the it was spring, but the flowers weren't bloomed yet but this itself had made an amazing picture.
